Getting SX Going Quickly:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Install it!
2) Check conferences and filepaths for each. The config comes with
these, so change them to your likeing:
1. New Users files:new/
2. BBS files:bbs/
3. Warez files:warez/
4. Request files:req/
(these paths should be used to store files on hdd)
To change these paths run SX-Config and click on the "Conf/Msg/File"
button. You might want to edit SX:Confs/<conf>/paths also.
3) Load SX-Config and click on "This Node", and change the
"FileCheckDir". This should be a empty directory for the BBS
to do some work in, you must create it! You should do this for
every node.
4) Type in shell "SX:Utils/SAmiLog -C"
This will create a storage file, so that the last callers program
can work.
5) run SX:SX-MCP
6) run a node! eg: "run sx:sx 1" will load node 1
Graphics Card Users:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You must:
1) Load SX-Config
2) Select "Local Display"
3) Choose a valid screen mode that your gfxcard can handle
4) Go back to the main SX-Config window
5) Choose "Display Modes"
6) Change the screenmode for each display mode, ansi/ascii etc
To make this take effect for every node, you can do something like
copy sx:node1/prefs/LocalDis.DAT sx:node2/prefs/
etc etc...
